Doug Allan who has died aged 74 while trekking in Nepal, was one of the world’s best-known and most experienced wildlife cameramen. He collaborated frequently with Sir David Attenborough, who spoke of “my extraordinary luck” in working with the Scot, whose extensive credits included such garlanded, landmark programmes as The Blue Planet, Blue Planet II, Planet Earth and Frozen Planet.
